## Importing Your MappedIn Venues into Velavu

This guide will walk you through connecting your MappedIn account to Velavu and importing your venues. Follow the steps below to set up the integration and bring your floor plans into Velavu.

## Step 1: Log in to Your MappedIn Account

1. Go to the **MappedIn** dashboard.
2. From the main menu, navigate to the **Developers** tab.

## Step 2: Generate an API Key

1. In the Developers section, click **Generate API Key** in the top-left corner.
2. Follow the prompts to create your key.
3. Once generated, make note of the **Key** and **Secret**.

> **Important:** Your **Secret** can only be viewed once. Be sure to copy it before closing the window.

## Step 3: Log in to Velavu and Open Settings

1. Log in to your **Velavu Web Dashboard**.
2. Click **Settings** in the bottom-left corner.
3. Navigate to the **Integrations** tab.

## Step 4: Add Your MappedIn Credentials

1. Paste the **API Key** and **API Secret** from MappedIn into the corresponding fields in Velavu.
2. Press **Save**.

## Step 5: Import Your MappedIn Venues

1. After saving, the Integrations tab will automatically populate with your list of venues from MappedIn.
2. Find the venue you want to import.
3. Click the **Import** button next to the venue name.

## Step 6: View Your Imported Site

1. Close the Settings panel.
2. Refresh the page.
3. Navigate to the map view and open the **Sites** list.
4. Your imported site will now appear in the list.

> ### Keeping Your Venue Up-to-Date

> - If you make changes to your venue in MappedIn, return to the Integrations tab to **synchronize** those updates.
> - You can also **unlink** the venue from MappedIn at any time if you wish to edit the floor plan using Velavu's built-in floor plan editor.
